Trusses
Architectural trusses are timber roof frameworks neatly detailed and exposed to view. They may be traditional shapes often associated with church construction or modern open trusswork enabled by glulaminated beams and high capacity joints.

An overview of these large frameworks can be found in the NAFI Timber Manual in the Datafile on Architectural Timber trusses. It is available from the timber promotion agencies in the various states e.g. TRADAC, TPC, TDA, etc.
James Pierce & Associates has developed a systematic approach to the design of trusses of all descriptions. Special detailing ensures performance and attractive appearance.
Since large trusses require shop detail drawings this practice provides this service as part of our total construction package.
